Kirsten Gray is the owner and Manager of Sonnenhof Equestrian Center in Easton/Newtown, CT.
As a 5-year old she fell in love with horses when her cousin put her on his Hanovarian mare for the first time. Kirsten worked hard for every minute she could spend in the saddle in her youth, and she still does, as horses are her passion.
Born and raised in Germany, she came to the US in 1992 and built a successful Riding Academy at her home barn. She believes in listening to client’s goals and objectives, encouraging them and provide them with the safest and best possible riding- and learning experience. One important core belief for running her farm is to always do what’s right for the horses!
Kirsten believes in education, on- and off the horse, including all aspects of the equine life. She holds her German Bronze Achenbach Driving Certification as well as her USDF Bronze Medal.
She trains with David Collins and Heather Mason, has ridden in clinics with Sabine Schut-Kery, Laura Graves, Lendon Gray as well as Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel. Kirsten has competed the white Lusitano stallion Teimir up to Prix St-Georges.
